چکیده

Thesis Abstract Several cytokines are known to be involved in the pathogenesis of non-Hodgkin Lymphomas (NHL). Given importance understanding genetic predisposition NHL, this work was designed study impact IL-10 (-1082 G/A; rs1800896 and -819 C/T; rs1800871), IL-6 (-174 G/C; rs1800795) CD38 (184C/G; rs6449182) gene polymorphisms on susceptibility Egyptians NHL. Both loci IL10 were genotyped using polymerase chain reaction- sequence-specific primers (PCR-SSP), IL6 rs1800795 G/C mutagenically separated PCR (MS-PCR) restriction fragment length polymorphism-PCR (RFLP-PCR) used genotype (rs6449182 C/G) 100 Egyptian patients 119 controls. Plasma levels measured enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). An insignificant change (rs1800896 rs1800871) genotypes recorded. GT haplotype significantly elevated.

Cytokine Gene Polymorphisms in Iranian Patients with Beta-Thalassemia Major

Background: β-thalassemia as a hereditary disease is defined as defective synthesis of   β-globin chains, resulting in erythropoiesis abnormalities and severe anemia. Different studies have shown that cytokines and cytokine gene polymorphisms play a major role in the pathogenesis of   β-thalassemia. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) within the promoter region or other regulatory sequences ...

Cytokine gene polymorphisms in sarcoidosis.

BACKGROUND Sarcoidosis is a disease characterized by granuloma formation in many organs, but mostly in lung and lymph nodes. The immunopathogenic background of the disease is probably based on disregulation of immune response to different antigens. The imbalance of immune reactivity might be influenced by genetic background. In our study, we have investigated cytokine genetic polymorphisms in s...

Cytokine Gene Polymorphisms in Colorectal Cancer

Colorectal cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Europe and the United States (Parkin DM, 2001). Although the primary therapy of CRC is surgical, the elucidation of different novel prognostic markers may prove to serve as future therapeutic options and contribute to the overall understanding of this cancer entity, as well as to improver disease outcome. Inflammation has...
